The Sony 60″ KDL-60R550A R550 3D LED Internet TV is a 2D/3D Full HD 1080p LCD TV with Edge LED Backlight technology, which enhances contrast and reproduces images with sharp clarity. The TV also features built-in Wi-Fi, Ethernet connectivity, Miracast wireless mirroring and Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL). With Wi-Fi, you can stream a variety of Internet content from the Sony Entertainment Network, as well as DLNA home network content. Miracast and MHL allow you to connect your compatible mobile device to the TV, so you can mirror your mobile media on the TV’s big 1920 x 1080 screen.

Besides Edge LED Backlight technology, this TV also supports Live Color technology to emphasize vividness of color. Plus, Motionflow XR 240 ensures fast-paced action movies and sports are blur-free and more natural looking. This model provides passive 3D with an enhanced 3D sound profile as well. Four pairs of 3D glasses are also included. Other video features include an Advanced Contrast Enhancer (ACE), Digital Noise Reduction and 24P True Cinema.

The TV’s audio features are equally impressive. With support for Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital Pulse and Simulated Surround, your audio will be as high-quality as the HD video. Plus, you can even output audio via the digital coaxial connection to your AV receiver for true surround sound from your home theater speakers. The TV’s other connectivity options include multiple HDMI inputs, component, USB 2.0 and more. The TV’s USB 2.0 ports work as a media player, so you can enjoy a variety of video, audio and photo files on the big screen.

Passive 3D Technology

This model uses the same passive 3D technology used in movie theaters. Even the sound profile is enhanced for 3D viewing to provide a more immersive experience. For added convenience, four pairs of 3D glasses are included. The TV supports various 3D formats including Simulated 3D, HDMI Frame Packing, HDMI Side-By-Side, HDMI Over-Under, USB/MHL Side-By-Side and USB/MHL Over-Under.

Full HD 1080p Resolution

With Full HD 1080p resolution, you can take advantage of HD TV broadcasting, HD satellite and other HD sources like your Blu-ray Disc player or PlayStation3 entertainment system.

Mobile High Definition Link (MHL)

Movies, music and apps from your smartphone can be viewed your TV. Using a Mobile High Definition Link (MHL) cable, you can connect your compatible smartphone to the TV to view what’s seen on the smartphone screen on the big screen. Video, photos and apps are re-sized and scaled to fit the larger TV screen. You can then use the TV remote to navigate the phone. Plus, the MHL connection will charge your smartphone as well.

Miracast Technology

Movies, music and apps from Miracast-enabled mobile devices can be viewed your TV using Miracast screen mirroring technology.
